Richard Haddrill Becomes New Head of American Gaming Association

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has recently appointed a new head of its organization.  The position was given to the CEO of Bally Technologies, Richard Haddrill, who was elected for the top spot at the annual meeting of the gambling industry’s representative body that took place last month.

The American Gaming Association acts on behalf of the commercial casino and entertainment industry in regard to issues directly related to federal regulation and legislation.  In addition, AGA runs advocacy and educational programs for the purpose of displaying leadership on public matters related to the industry, as well as provides information.

The president of AGA, Frank Fahrenkopf Jr., stated that he believes Haddrill and James Murrel, the association’s new vice-president, are exactly the people needed to help the industry benefit from new opportunities that will come into play over the next couple of years.  That said, it will be interesting to see what will happen over the next several months with so many gambling issues making news.
